Free WHMIS training for newcomers

The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) gives health and safety information on hazardous products that you may use in the workplace. If you are a newcomer to Canada and you need WHMIS certification for work, PTP can help.

Get a free certificate

This program is free. Those who complete the training and pass the test will receive a WHMIS certificate.

Symbols
MSDS Forms
How to talk about WHMIS in a job interview

Time, cost and location

Free program funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
Runs for three weeks
From 4 March 2025 to 28 March 2025
On Tuesdays and Fridays
From 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Delivered online

Eligibility

This program is open to newcomers. This includes:

Permanent Residents
Convention Refugees
Protected Persons
Ukrainian Temporary Residents (CUAET)
Live-In Caregivers
International Francophone Students
