A program for newcomer women

If you’re a woman new to Canada and want to start your career, this free 8-week program gives you the tools, support, and confidence to move forward. You’ll build a career plan, improve your resume and interview skills, and earn certificates employers want, all in a friendly, supportive space.

Plan your career path and get job-ready

Earn microcertificates in workplace safety, business writing, customer service, and more
Improve your job search skills and plan for your career in Canada
Increase your confidence, speaking, and stress management skills
Explore your skills, strengths, and interests to set employment goals

Time, cost and location

Free program funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
Runs for eight weeks
From 11 August 2025 to 3 October 2025
From 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Mondays and Thursdays online
Tuesdays and Wednesdays in-person at 5353 Dundas Street West

Eligibility

This program is open to women are who newcomers to Canada. Newcomers include:

Permanent Residents
Convention Refugees
Protected Persons
Live-In Caregivers
International Francophone Students
