Customer Service for Newcomers

Prepare for working in the Canadian retail industry

Improve your customer service skills and become better at communicating with other staff and customers in this free 8-week program. You will also:

• Understand a cashier’s roles and responsibilities.
• Learn about the Canadian retail industry, workplace law, and health and safety.
• Plan for employment.
• Earn a Certificate of Participation upon completion of the course.

Time, cost and location

• Free program
• Classes run 11 June 2024 to 2 August 2024
• Tuesdays and Fridays
• 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• Delivered online

Eligibility

This program is open to the following newcomers with a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 or higher:

• Permanent Residents
• Convention Refugees
• Protected Persons
• Ukrainian Temporary Residents (CUAET)
• Live-In Caregivers
