Reading, writing, and math preparation for CAEC
The CAEC test has five parts: reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. At PTP, we help you develop the skills you need to pass each of the tests.
Work on your basics
Our staff will work with you on your foundational reading, writing, and math skills. At your intake assessment, we talk about your goals and identify your strengths and weaknesses. Our experienced instructors will help you improve in the areas where you need the most support.
Steps to CAEC
- Assess your strengths and weaknesses
- Prepare in our reading, writing, and math classes
- Register with the ILC for a test date
- Write the CAEC at a testing centre
Free program
Our programs are free and are funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario.
Eligibility
You can take part if you:
- have a Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- are 18 or older
- have less than grade 12
- currently live in the GTA
Two convenient locations in Toronto
East Centre
Classes are in person at 815 Danforth Avenue, between Pape and Donlands subway stations.
- Continuous intake: classes start every week
- Monday to Thursday
- 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
West Centre
Classes are in person at 5353 Dundas Street West, next to Kipling subway station.
- Continuous intake: classes start every week
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
