Presentation at OSCA conference
We recently attended the Ontario School Counsellors’ Association (OSCA) conference on Nov 3, 2024, where we delivered a presentation as part of the Skills Development Fund (SDF) project in partnership with George Brown College (GBC). The focus was on Transitioning College Students with Mild Intellectual Disabilities (MID) in collaboration with PTP and GBC. Presenting for PTP and GBC were:
Maria Anwer, Project Manager – PTP
Bernadette Beaupre, Community Liaison – SDF PTP
Jennifer Dewar, Program Coordinator – College Vocational Program, GBC
The OSCA conference is a premier event dedicated to supporting school counsellors, educators, and stakeholders in enhancing student success and well-being across Ontario. This annual gathering provides a platform for professionals to share insights, tools, and strategies to better serve students’ academic, career, and personal development needs. At this year’s conference, we presented our SDF project in collaboration with GBC, focusing on the unique challenges and transitions faced by college students with MID.
