Programs
At PTP, our main goal is to create and provide high quality programs and services that help our learners feel prepared, motivated, and supported to lead their learning and career paths toward success. To facilitate this, we’ve developed a range of programs offering teaching and support services customised for adults aged 18 and above. We concentrate on improving fundamental literacy, academic upgrading, digital competencies and other vital skills essential for success in today’s workforce or further education at colleges.
We offer programs to help you to improve your reading, writing, oral communication and math skills. We help you to use technology in your everyday life and work. We work with you to strengthen your foundation skills and to get ready for your next step. Learn to be more independent in more ways. Build the confidence to apply for a job or promotion, to go to a credit program, training, or college. We provide online and in-person classes that are free for eligible adults.
Explore new career opportunities with our Job Specific Training and Certifications program. Our flexible program offers short courses tailored to meet the demands of the food and beverage manufacturing sector. Earn important certifications like food handler and managing food safety. Plus, gain essential knowledge with the WHMIS certificate for handling hazardous materials, and acquire skills in office basics.
Our Newcomers program is here to help you settle in and prepare for employment in Canada. We offer English classes to improve your speaking and listening skills (Conversation Circle), and your writing skills for work (English for Work & Business Writing). If you’d like to go to college or university, we can support you in preparing for the IELTS test. Thinking about becoming a Canadian citizen? We can guide you through the process. Want to drive in Canada? We can help you study for your G1 written test.
Find your path to success with our empowering Skills Exploration & Empowerment programs. Choices: Building Skills for a Better Future helps you explore career options and identify your strengths. Let’s Connect can guide you through challenges like housing, finances, and well-being. This is the place where you can learn new things and meet new people to help you do well!
