GED testing ends in Canada
GED testing in Canada will end after May 3, 2024. You must schedule your test date by March 31, 2024. If you have already registered to write the test, PTP will continue to provide you support until then. Please see the links below for more information:

Prepare for high school English and math or apprenticeship
If you have been out of school for a while and want to return, we can help. Our free classes will prepare you for high school credits or apprenticeship.
High school foundation skills, free
Improve on the basics before you move on to the next step. Get help with math, reading comprehension, essay writing, grammar and more.
Guidance and support
Our experienced instructors work with learners who have been away from school for a while. Our admin and support staff can offer counselling and guidance on your pathway. Contact us below and a staff member will give you advice on what your next steps can be.
Literacy and basic skills
Literacy and basic skills programs help improve your reading, writing, math, and computer skills so you can return to school. If you are not sure what your options are, contact us to talk about what you can expect from our program.

Eligibility
You can take part if you:
- have a Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- are 18 or older
- have grade 12 or less
